Science Cafés

Just For Teens!

The eSTEAM Club gives kids a low-cost, fun, and safe environment to explore Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Math fields while playing and working together using a Project Based Learning approach.

This free Teen Science Café expands the club’s options for teens to give them access to an atmosphere they can enjoy while exploring topics they can relate to.

We welcome 6th -12th graders from Gaston, Lincoln, and Mecklenburg counties. If you’re interested in becoming a Teen Leader or Cafe’ Coordinator click here or you can call (980) 251-0414 for more information.

The goal of teen science cafés is for teens to make the connection between the rapidly changing frontiers in STEM and their lives and futures. A key element of a teen café is meeting a STEM expert and learning about their research and how they found their career path. Teen science cafés could be a fantastic way to get teenagers in our area excited about science and technology and potential consideration of a career path in one of those fields.
